Air Displacement is one of the newer body composition tests.
A person’s body composition is assessed by computerized pressure sensors
displacing air into the bod pod. The body volume is then calculated by
subtracting the air volume with the person inside from the volume of the empty
bod pod. This test takes a shorter amount of time compared to other techniques.
The standard error of estimate for this test is 2.2%.
