Wellness is being overall healthy. A person who is healthy generally exudes confidence
and is very optimistic. He or She has the ability to maintain in good physical
health by taking care of any health problems. A person who is physically well
is usually physically active, maintains recommended body weight, has a good well-balanced
diet, gets a sufficient amount of sleep, has safe sex, is aware of exposure to environmental
contaminants, avoids drugs, and seeks medical care and checkups regularly. A
person who is physically well also shows good cardiorespiratory endurance,
muscular strength, flexibility, body composition, and is able to handle the daily
demands of life.
