Skinfold Thickness is the most commonly used for body
composition assessments because it is quick, simple, low cost, and can be done
just about anywhere. This test is based on the principle that the amount of
subcutaneous fat is proportional to total body fat. A pressure caliber is used
to do this test. The standard error of estimate for skinfold thickness is 3.5%.
